During this session you will utilise the traditional techniques of handbuilding like coiling, slabbing, and pinch pot, to create beautiful pieces and develop a practice that embraces organic forms. This course is great for beginners or anyone who'd like to rekindle their love for handbuilding. By the end of the two hours, you'll have your very own creation with the option to fire and glaze it (an additional £5). For more information about our cancellation policy, please see our FAQ section. This session is BYOB so please feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks and enjoy your friday evening with us! Please wear old clothing and have trimmed nails as you will be getting stuck in! ** This class is for participants aged 11 and over only. If booking for someone aged 11–17, please read the Age Requirements section of our Terms & Conditions before booking. Notes: Please note that due to the nature of clay, results may differ from expectation, including but not limited to: - Glaze may vary from examples and are for reference only - Texture created may not shown in the final result - Pots will appear smaller from what you created from class, since clay have a 15% shrinkage - Pots may not be completely cleaned and may have small lumps of clay - Pots may be cracked or exploded We offer delivery of your pots for a £15 fee to be requested and paid for at the end of the class. We try our best to mitigate this problem but these are inevitable. Unfortunately, the class is non-refundable and we are only able to reimburse you if your work exploded.

Class Information & Important Notes * Clay, aprons and pottery tools are provided. * No previous experience is required. Our tutor will guide you throughout the class. * Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and prepare for the demonstration. * Please check your booking confirmation carefully for the correct date, time and studio. * Arriving 30+ minutes late may result in refused entry, with no refund or rescheduling. * Please keep fingernails short and wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting clay on. We recommend avoiding jewellery and valuables. * Bring water in warmer weather and an extra layer in colder months. Your Pottery If you would like to keep your pieces, a £5 materials and firing fee per piece is payable on the day by cash or bank transfer. Pieces are usually ready 4–5 weeks after the class. We’ll email you when they’re ready, so please check your spam folder if needed. Due to limited storage, pieces must be collected within one month of the collection email. Uncollected pieces may be disposed of. Delivery is available for £15, payable at the end of the class. Please Note Clay and firing can produce unexpected results. Glazes and textures may vary, pieces will shrink by approximately 15%, and small lumps or imperfections may occur. Pieces may also crack or break during firing. We always do our best to minimise these issues, but they are part of the ceramic process. Classes are non-refundable; however, if your piece explodes during firing, we will reimburse the applicable materials and firing fee. Taster Classes The £5 fee per piece only applies if you would like to keep your pieces. Age Requirement Participants must be 11+. Ages 11–17 are welcome if they can work independently in an adult-paced class. Please check our FAQ before booking for anyone under 18. Cancellation Policy All bookings are final. Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email. Refunds or rescheduling may be considered at our discretion for cancellations made 7+ days before the session.
