Beschreibung

Join us for an exclusive festive class in London and experience the beauty of Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joinery”) — the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and gold. This special workshop gives you the chance to restore handmade ceramic Christmas decorations crafted by our studio’s potters and take home your own one-of-a-kind piece. Guided by experienced ceramists, you’ll learn the techniques of Kintsugi while creating something truly meaningful and unique. What’s Included - All materials provided - Choose from a selection of pots or handmade ceramic Christmas decorations - Option to upgrade and/or repair additional studio-made ceramics for a small extra fee About Kintsugi Kintsugi is a centuries-old Japanese technique of mending broken pottery with urushi lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. More than just a craft, it embodies the philosophy of wabi-sabi — embracing imperfection — and mushin — acceptance of change and impermanence. Details Price: £40 per person (includes 1 piece to take home) Additional pieces available for an extra fee Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons are available in the studio.
