Service Description
Raku sessions take place on the third saturday of each month from 10am-1pm , please check the timetable below for availability. You'll spend the first half of this class glazing premade pots, ready for Raku firing. The second half of the lesson will transform your glazed creations as you watch the pieces get fired to 1000 degrees. By the end of the day, you will be able to take your piece home ready to be displayed or gifted! There will be a short intermission for tea and coffee, then the pots will be removed from the kiln scrubbed, and taken home on the day. Please wear masks and clothes you don't mind getting smelly to this session.

Reminders: - Clay, aprons and tools will be provided during the class. - Fingernails should be kept short for health and safety reasons. - Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a bit of clay on. - Please do not wear any accessories or leave them around the studio if possible. - Please come 10 minutes prior to the start of the class, as this will allow you to sign in and get ready for class demonstration. - It is your responsibility to arrive on time for the class. Upon arriving to your class 30 minutes or later, we have the right to reject you joining the class without any refund or rescheduling. -Please check your confirmation to ensure you arrive at the correct studio to the correct class. For Taster Classes: - Please be aware a materials fee of £5 per piece additional will be required if pots to be kept. Please prepare cash or bank info for a transfer on the day to keep pieces. - Pieces will ready around 4 weeks after the class, and we will send a collection email by then. Please double check if the email is in the spam folder. - Please pick them up within collection period as they will be kept in storage for up to one month. If not collected in time they may be disposed of. Cancellations must be made in writing by email or text. You may cancel your course within 7 days of purchase with a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the class, course, or workshop will not be refunded. If your class, course, or workshop starts sooner than that, please get in touch as soon as possible (nam@cernamic.com). Exchanges can be made within 7 days at our discretion. Of course, there are emergencies and unforeseen circumstances that will impact your attendance so our team will work with you to negotiate or rearrange the date.
