Service Description
Spend a fun and creative evening making your very own flower-pressed ceramic charcuterie board. Using real flowers and botanical textures, you’ll create a unique design in clay that can be used as a beautiful serving or display piece. This 1.5-hour hands-on session is perfect for getting creative, experimenting with textures and making something completely unique to you. You’ll be able to create up to two pieces, with each piece being approximately the size of a mini iPad at most — perfect for serving, displaying or giving as a handmade gift. At the end of the session, you’ll have the option to have your piece fired and glazed. Please allow a few weeks for the firing process before your piece is ready to collect. What to expect 🌸 Create your own botanical design using pressed flowers and natural textures 🏺 Learn simple hand-building techniques to shape your ceramic board ✨ Choose to have your finished piece fired and glazed 🍷 BYOB — bring your own drinks and snacks and make it a relaxed Friday evening Please wear old clothing and have trimmed nails, as you’ll be getting stuck into the clay! Please note This class is suitable for ages 11 and over. If booking for someone aged 11–17, please read the Age Requirements section of our Terms & Conditions before booking. Clay is a natural material and every piece is unique. Because of the nature of the making and firing process, results can vary. Glaze colours and finishes may differ from examples, textures may become less visible after firing, and clay can shrink by approximately 15% during the process. Small lumps or imperfections may also occur, and in rare cases pieces may crack or break during firing. We do our best to minimise these risks, but they are an inherent part of working with clay. The class is non-refundable, although we can reimburse you if your work is damaged or explodes during firing. Collection & delivery: Your finished piece can be collected once it has been fired. Reminders: - Clay, aprons and tools will be provided during the class. - Fingernails should be kept short for health and safety reasons. - Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a bit of clay on. - Please do not wear any accessories or leave them around the studio if possible. - Please come 10 minutes prior to the start of the class, as this will allow you to sign in and get ready for class demonstration. - It is your responsibility to arrive on time for the class. Upon arriving to your class 30 minutes or later, we have the right to reject you joining the class without any refund or rescheduling. -Please check your confirmation to ensure you arrive at the correct studio to the correct class. For Taster Classes: - Please be aware a materials fee of £5 per piece additional will be required if pots to be kept. Please prepare cash or bank info for a transfer on the day to keep pieces. - Pieces will ready around 4 weeks after the class, and we will send a collection email by then. Please double check if the email is in the spam folder. - Please pick them up within collection period as they will be kept in storage for up to one month. If not collected in time they may be disposed of.
