Service Description
Spend a fun and creative evening making your very own flower-pressed ceramic charcuterie board. Using real flowers and botanical textures, you’ll create a unique design in clay that can be used as a beautiful serving or display piece. This 1.5-hour hands-on session is perfect for getting creative, experimenting with textures and making something completely unique to you. You’ll be able to create up to two pieces, with each piece being approximately the size of a mini iPad at most — perfect for serving, displaying or giving as a handmade gift. At the end of the session, you’ll have the option to have your piece fired and glazed. Please allow a few weeks for the firing process before your piece is ready to collect. Please note This class is suitable for ages 11 and over. If booking for someone aged 11–17, please read the Age Requirements section of our Terms & Conditions before booking. Clay is a natural material and every piece is unique. Because of the nature of the making and firing process, results can vary. Glaze colours and finishes may differ from examples, textures may become less visible after firing, and clay can shrink by approximately 15% during the process. Small lumps or imperfections may also occur, and in rare cases pieces may crack or break during firing. We do our best to minimise these risks, but they are an inherent part of working with clay. The class is non-refundable, although we can reimburse you if your work is damaged or explodes during firing. Collection & delivery: Your finished piece can be collected once it has been fired. Cancellation Policy
Class Information & Important Notes * Clay, aprons and pottery tools are provided. * No previous experience is required. Our tutor will guide you throughout the class. * Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and prepare for the demonstration. * Please check your booking confirmation carefully for the correct date, time and studio. * Arriving 30+ minutes late may result in refused entry, with no refund or rescheduling. * Please keep fingernails short and wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting clay on. We recommend avoiding jewellery and valuables. * Bring water in warmer weather and an extra layer in colder months. Your Pottery If you would like to keep your pieces, a £5 materials and firing fee per piece is payable on the day by cash or bank transfer. Pieces are usually ready 4–5 weeks after the class. We’ll email you when they’re ready, so please check your spam folder if needed. Due to limited storage, pieces must be collected within one month of the collection email. Uncollected pieces may be disposed of. Delivery is available for £15, payable at the end of the class. Please Note Clay and firing can produce unexpected results. Glazes and textures may vary, pieces will shrink by approximately 15%, and small lumps or imperfections may occur. Pieces may also crack or break during firing. We always do our best to minimise these issues, but they are part of the ceramic process. Classes are non-refundable; however, if your piece explodes during firing, we will reimburse the applicable materials and firing fee. Taster Classes The £5 fee per piece only applies if you would like to keep your pieces. Age Requirement Participants must be 11+. Ages 11–17 are welcome if they can work independently in an adult-paced class. Please check our FAQ before booking for anyone under 18. Cancellation Policy All bookings are final. Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email. Refunds or rescheduling may be considered at our discretion for cancellations made 7+ days before the session.
