Descripción del servicio
Learn how to create a unique ceramic living wreath — a doughnut-shaped ceramic form with planting holes designed to hold small plants and succulents. This is a three-week hands-on course where you’ll learn the process from throwing the initial form through to glazing and finishing. You’ll create 2–3 ceramic wreaths to take home and plant up with your own choice of plants. Week 1 — Throwing Your Wreath Learn how to throw the doughnut-shaped wreath form on the pottery wheel, creating the foundation for your piece. Week 2 — Trimming, Refining & Adding Holes Trim and refine your wreath before adding the holes where your plants will eventually sit. Week 3 — Glazing & Finishing Choose your glaze and add the finishing touches before your wreaths are fired. Experience: Ideally, you’ll have completed a pottery wheel throwing taster session before joining this course, as some basic throwing experience will help you get the most from the first session. That said, you don’t need to be an experienced potter. Please note: Plants are not included, so you can choose your own plants once your wreath is ready. Your finished pieces will need to be fired after the course, so please allow a few weeks for firing before collection.
