Service Description
Please note this is a 1 day workshop! We hold this workshop as and when there is sufficient interest so please send us an email if you're keen and when we have 5 people we will arrange a date that works for everyone :) Expand your ceramic practice with this slip casting workshop and create shapes not easily made on the wheel. We will start by making a slip cast cup using coloured and white liquid porcelain, then will work through the process for making a 1-piece mould. We’ll go over some of the do's and dont's of the mould making and slip casing process. At the end of the workshop you'll have a 1-piece mould that you will take away and a slip cast cup that will be fired at the studio. The workshop will run be on a Saturday from 12pm to 4:30pm. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty to this session, the materials will wash out and there will be aprons available.

Reminders: - Clay, aprons and tools will be provided during the class. - Fingernails should be kept short for health and safety reasons. - Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a bit of clay on. - Please do not wear any accessories or leave them around the studio if possible. - Please come 10 minutes prior to the start of the class, as this will allow you to sign in and get ready for class demonstration. - It is your responsibility to arrive on time for the class. Upon arriving to your class 30 minutes or later, we have the right to reject you joining the class without any refund or rescheduling. -Please check your confirmation to ensure you arrive at the correct studio to the correct class. Cancellations must be made in writing by email or text. You may cancel your course within 7 days of purchase with a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the class, course, or workshop will not be refunded. If your class, course, or workshop starts sooner than that, please get in touch as soon as possible (nam@cernamic.com). Exchanges can be made within 7 days at our discretion. Of course, there are emergencies and unforeseen circumstances that will impact your attendance so our team will work with you to negotiate or rearrange the date.
