Taster Pottery Workshop
Drop in Taster Saturday sessions

Price: £35 per session
This drop in session is ideal for anyone who want to develop your skills and confidence in throwing on a wheel or handbuilding work.
The workshop is run in a group of maximum 6 people due to social distancing.
All materials, tools and firing are included.

Two weeks after the workshop , collection of pottery can be arranged via email : email@example.com or sign up to our newsletter for collection date announcement.
We recommend you collect your finished work as soon as possible to help keep our storage area clear therefore avoiding damage. If finished ceramic work is not collected within one months of the end of the course we will sadly have to dispose of it.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email or text.
Cancellations will be subject to the following fees:
- Cancellations within 7 days of the start date will be charged the full course fee.
- Cancellations within 14 days of the start date will be charged 50% of the course fee.
- Cancellations more than 15- 28 days before the start date will be charged 20% of the course fee.
- However in case of emergencies or unavoidable circumstances we can negotiate to rearranging the workshop to the next available start date.
If the participant fails to attend the course the full course fees are payable.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (“Distance Selling Regulations”), you may cancel your purchase of a course within a period of 7 working days beginning on the day after we send your booking confirmation. However, there is no right of cancellation where the course begins within this seven day period.
We accept major debit and credit cards through Paypal.
When checking out with Paypal, you can either login with your Paypal account to complete the transition, or simply enter your card details following the instruction if you do not hold an account with Paypal.
We reserved the right to cancel any unpaid workshop after 3 days of being purchased.
Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions before the end of your 7 day cooling off period. By passing this period you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted them.
- Course content
The Cernamics Studio reserves the right to change the content, timing, date, venue or instructor of the course in order to provide a high quality service or where it is necessary for reasons beyond our control.
The Studio reserves the right to cancel a course up to and including the date of the course if insufficient bookings have been received and will strive to give as much notice of this as possible.
Individuals booked onto a cancelled course will be given the option of a full refund or of rescheduling to a future course date. The Studio will not be liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the course or cancellations.
- Late Attendance
It is to the discretion of the tutor to not accept a late arrival to a course if it is potentially detrimental to fellow students. This will be treated as a late cancellation.
- Missed Lessons
If you do miss a lesson then we can rearrange a catch up session by joining another workshop group who are doing the same course or will have to wait for the next new course to start and joing the missed lesson.
- Intellectual Property
Course materials are supplied only for your personal use. The Studio remains the owner of all intellectual property in course materials. No part of the materials may be copied or reproduced without our permission.
- Health and Safety
The Studio takes a diligent approach to health and safety for the sake of all staff and users. Students are agreeing to read and abide by the guidelines of our Health & Safety policy. Repeated failure to do so will result in immediate termination of course without refund.
- Technical issues and breakages
Experienced and trained staff only will handle and fire your ceramic work. However, by the nature of ceramics there is always a risk of technical failure for which we cannot be held responsible.
- Prolific Makers
Ceramics is an expensive process and we try hard to keep the costs down. We price the classes based on an estimated output. Occasionally we will get someone who is a prolific maker. We do not want to cap peoples creativity so we will ask you to pay a cost price for any work you chose to fire over the set amount laid out by your tutor for your particular course or session.
- Data Protection
Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We will use the information to process your booking, to provide the course and to inform you about similar courses which we provide, unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. Any personal data you provide may be held on computer files.
- Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be settled by the English courts.
Completion of the booking process and acceptance of our terms and conditions forms your contract with Cernamic.
